Anyone in or around Phoenix that would be willing to assist with ABC Flush or rent their SDS? Replaced my accumulators and need to bleed system.

Appreciate any assistance...

Thanks

You don't need to rodeo the car after replacing the accumulators or flushing the system. You can do it without a SDS if that's what you wanted one for.

Just FYI - There was more to it then that...if you drive the car after system loses pressure (has to be under pressure dont remember the amount MB told me) the pump goes into "shuts down mode" and the only way to get it activated again is through SDS.

I have replaced o-rings several time on my front hoses due to blowing them out before replacing accumulators and was able to do as mentioned (raise and lower several times". When my accumulator finally took a dump and I blew o-rings again I drove home 5 miles and system completely lost pressure and pump shut down.

Hope this helps others.

That's they way the Local Service Manager I know describe it. I can't believe it's a "complete shut down" since it's shared with power steering (that would be dangerous situation) but it probably has some electrical connection that shuts down a portion of the pump associated with ABC system. If you have seen the schematics of the ABC system it is easy to gather that's not a far stretch.

I will buying a SDS next month and plan on doing more exploring of the system and will pass on anything I uncover. When we were doing the RODEO I found areas with the height settings that came into play with my lowering links I want to explore more.

The pump spins no matter what. That's why the pump grenades if there is no fluid running through the pump providing lubrication. I wish it had some type of clutch.
