Im sure this is resolvable, i need an advise.
The building I live in has an automatic garage doors that open once the scanner located over the gate reads the sticker glued to the inside of the windshield.
Long story short, no matter where I stick the sticker, it won't read it so the gate wouldn't open.
I spoke to two other guys with s class who park in my garage and they have the same issue forcing them to peel the sticker off, come out of the car and wave it in front of the scanner. I looked in the manual and the locations shown are not scannable either.

there is a strip at the very top of the windshield around where the rear view mirror is. that is where supposedly you put cards or devices that need to be scanned. every other place on the windshield has some type of reflective material which won't allow objects to be scanned. try the area on the windshield behind the rear view mirror with markings on it.

I tried directly under the mirror and on the sides of it, no success at all.

Since you have tired two areas in the front windshield that are void of the UV/heat reflecting material, you may be SOL.

Have your thought about putting the sticker somewhere else? On the CL, the front fenders and trunk are plastic and signal may pass through those.

On the S, I am not sure if there are any plastic panels.
