Death of my first CL600

This happened a couple months ago, but I just feel like sharing. It's amazing what this car took and how little damage I took. I was going straight, about 45mph. Young girl in a 2015 Ford Focus, in the left turn lane of the opposite direction, was using her GPS and claims she didn't see me, just pulled right out as I entered the intersection. I had no chance to do anything, by the time I got my foot to the brake pedal she was already right to me, she pulled out quickly and hadn't even turned much, I hit her almost head on.

Car is amazing, I walked away with just a sprained right ankle. Car deployed all left side airbags, was wearing my seat belt and felt the steering wheel one just tap my nose. I'm sure if I was in one of my little tercels I would be dead or very severely hurt. Was terribly sad to lose the car, but I found another one very similar. Awesome vehicle.

Ouch. Very sorry to see that. That's quite a speed to walk away from. Do the doors still open? What happened to the Focus?

That was someone's daughter - mine is 16, which fills me with dread.

She was unharmed, as well as the two other young guys in the car with her. My sprained ankle was the only injury really.

Yeah impact was almost all frontal, doors opened fine. I don't have any good pics of the focus, the crash was at almost midnight and I really didn't care to take good pics at that point. It was totalled, front end crushed back to the firewall, airbags deployed.

Joe wow that's some major damage and happy to hear you walked pretty much unscathed. Sorry about your car though happy to hear that it lives up to its safety reputation
