OEM Parts

Anybody have an official Mercedes site that offers OEM parts? I'm coming from Audi where I could go onto a dealer site and access from there, but for Mercedes I'm directed to send them an email when I try to find parts.

The parts prices look reasonable, but it's a bit tricky to find what you need. Best bet seems to be google it and find the part number, then search for it there.

Autohausaz.com and Ecstuning.com also sells many oem Mercedes parts as well as aftermarket , and they specify which is which . But they aren't coming directly from a dealership like mbpartsworld

Ah, I see. My soft close doesn't work on the driver's side and mother of pete is that latch expensive, and there's no guarantee that's the issue. Who designed that system? What are vacuum lines doing in there?!

I suppose I will also need a manual and scan tool. Is there a manual that works best for these cars and a preferred brand of scan tool? I can find a few of each on Google, but I figured you guys who have used the stuff would be a better gauge of what's good and what's not. I can figure things out on most cars myself, but as I learned on my Audi, German cars need specific knowledge and tools to diagnose and repair.

Is this the tool you are talking about? There's a bunch of them, and I'm a bit lost as to which would apply. I'd only need it for diagnosis and programming of my own car.

Okay, cool. I got some parts ordered. Forgot a couple, will have to order some more. For the repair manual, is this what I would need or is there a better alternative?

Here's another dealer parts website

http://parts.mbfm.com/aboutus.aspx

They had better prices than some other dealers
