Rear seal leak
I have the ole rear engine seal leak it was just a drip but now seems to be more significant as of late.
I have my Indy I can go to but I think it would be pricey....not sure what the cost but probably not cheap.
I just wanted to get an idea of the cost from my fellow forum community that has experience in this area or knows what the cost would be round about.
I know of a garage that works on older Mercedes that could do it and is out of his home garage in the back, my neighbor uses him for stuff and says he is really good, he just doesn't do anything involving the Mercedes star diagnostic system...he does't have one...lol
But to change the rear seal doesn't need the DAS.
Thoughts???

Requires pulling the transmission. Assume 8 hours of labor minimum at almost any shop, plus the seal and associated fluids/bolts. It's not gonna be cheap no matter what, and most home mechanics aren't gonna be pulling the transmission out on the ground. It's do-able but it sucks.

Thanks for the info the guy with the back yard garage I need to clarify, he has a shop in the back of his home. The shop has lifts, etc..
