LED Plate Lights Install?

Anyone know how to get to the plate lights on the trunk lid? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I recently did this. First, you have to remove the leading edge plastic trim (screws) and then the felt trunk lid liner (snap on clips). You can then reach in and remove the panel that houses the license plate lamps and trunk handle. Once removed, you can access the license plate lamps which can be popped out and replaced. It takes about 20 minutes. I bought a set from eBay for $30 no error codes. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

Oops...sorry. Wrong Ebay item (the earlier link was for foglight, which I do not recommend at this time). The link for the license plate LEDs is:

What bulbs did you guys get because the ebay link is old... I'm just worried about the error codes... I want to replace all the yellow looking lights on my 2008 CL550 to white LED's to match the Headlights if possible... I'm trying to find out all the bulbs and then take it somewhere and have them change them and possibly install the code canceller or whatever I need because of the lower voltage of the leds...

You'll need 194 wedge LEDs. They have to be canbus units to not trigger codes. We have these available in pure white 5000K for $19/set. Plug and play
