Blueefficiency...
Ignorance is not foreign to me. Thus, will someone pls. explain what the tag on a Cl panel saying, "Blue Efficiency" mean, indicate or tell the public? Is it a positive/good thing? Does it add value or detract? Is it not native to US-dropped Cl's? Saw a pic of a CL for sale, w/ that and have not seen prior.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Called the local MB and the SA said showing the badge Blue Efficiency was/is MB's visual of conveying the firm is doing something to be eco friendlier. He said at some point in 2012 the engines on some were changed. Not truly new engines, as such, but mainly the fuel system and injection, along w/ other tweaks, were put into the assembly. This washes, as the production run # of the one I bought is 30092. Again, seems paradoxical to see something Prius-esque on a CL. End of mystery, I guess.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Total bs.
By removing an ashtray from my car, I'm already eco friendly. And I never farted (adding methane) in it either.

Very funny! Seriously!
Blueffieceny means the new generation of engines (most with direct injection) which lowers CO2 emissions and uses less fuel. This was a program launched for 2011 on CL and 2012 on S and the other models that got the revisions. Also, the gas guzzler tax was removed starting on the 4.7 Bi Turbo engine.
