2012 CL throttle lag
All the reviews of the 2012 CL550 indicate that throttle lag is extreme. Floor pedal. Wait two seconds. Car moves. How bad is it? Any known fixes? Is it only in econo mode? Affects CL63 also?
And what's up with the auto bolsters? Are they truly irritating and reset every time you drive the car.
Thanks for your experiences.

Try it in the S mode, E starts you out in 2nd gear. As for the auto seat bolsters having to be reset each time through the center stack, sounds to me like you need to see the dealer about reprogramming that functionwith the Star computer. It either lost its programming or you have a bad potentiometer.

I was worried about that before I bought my car as well.
I have a 2012 CL550 and understand what the reviews were saying.
The throttle response is awesome as it is programmed in my opinion. E mode starts you in 2nd gear, a nice smooth start that is for day to day driving. This is especially nice in traffic. S mode starts in 1st gear and is extremely touchy I find. Throttle response in 1st is abrupt. 95% of the time 2nd gear E mode is where you want to be.
The reviews are from a short term test of journalists that have their own opinions on cars. I would suggest that the clients of the CL and S class cars are looking for something specific, a vehicle that is powerful yet pampering and smooth most of the time.
My impression of the CL is that it is simply the best car I have ever owned. I wouldnt change a thing about the throttle response on this car.
Lumbar support for me is set to each key we have and the seat settings. I always have it on in setting 1 and never have to adjust it.
