Brake and rotor break-in advice

2012 CL550, w/ AMG Sport pkg., 19" AMG wheels. Just put four new Continental DWS06 tires on. Looking to put new rotors and pads on front only; rear is fine.

I plan putting on Zimmermann rotors and Akebono ceramic pads. I am confused on how to handle the new brake set. Some say there should be "bedding" for 300 miles or so. Other schools say no need to. Both rotors and pads are models accommodating the 19" AMG Sport pkg.

I want them broken in the best they can. Advice?

Thanks.

You are using non-stock disks and pads. I would do whatever the manufacturer says to do.

I accept and respect your advice and suggestion. Thanks for caring enough to reply.

Here's my rationale. My car has under 28,000 miles and the rotors have more ridges and valleys than the Rocky Mountains. Stopping at higher speeds brings shudders and vibrations. I admit to mostly town driving and greater wear than all highway use, but I feel having to replace expensive rotors and pads at under 30k miles is unacceptable.

Add to that the AMG wheels get dustier and blacker than a house a mile away from a coal fired power plant two days after washing and I want ceramic. They drastically reduce wheel dust and I am not purist enough to sense a drop off in immediate stop/grip, so I'm there.

Still would like feedback on "bedding" them or breaking them in.
