Hi Shon53
Just changed by aux battery on my CL63. If you look at the back of the boot ( i.e back of rear seats) the entire vertical panel is removable and the battery is behind there. Lift the panel from the bottom and pull it upwards, it will then stay in place above you.

This is the least of probems, my CL63 has a major engine issue as posted on here with a Star diagnostic code and I am waiting for someone who really knows the M156 engine to offer some advice.
Help someone please.

W216 2011 CL500 Auxiliary battery, distronic cruise fix.
The 2011 W216 CL500 auxiliary battery is behind the fuse box driver side dash. It is a tiny battery, part (N 000000-004039) that allows you to take the vehicle out of park if your main battery dies (among other functions). The Distronic cruise will not work if the auxiliary battery voltage is below 12.3V!
Remove 2 torx screws to allow you to pull the small fuse box out and move it aside. A 10mm bolt holds the battery box. If you have large hands, you may also need to remove the lower dash panel as it is a bit fiddley! Pull the connectors off and remove the battery. You could try charging the battery with a trickle charger or just buy a new one.
Be careful when you re connect the battery! Make sure you put positive to positive. It's hard to see and I crossed them!!! This blew out the parking brake module!
