POST FACE LIFTED
The 2014 CL550 is probably about as stock as can be but with 20" wheels (would rather of had 19"). None of what some call essentials like lane keeping etc. I do miss Blind Spot though and miss Distronic when going thru LA on the 210 foot hills freeway, but only then. Still under warranty fortunately because the rear window blind was stuck and it's essential for driving with a sob behind you with his brights on full beam. It now has 25K on it and gaining daily.
Why back to a CL550? It's a quiet car and comfortable on long drives with more room than the SL. It's hard to get/find a CL around the Ft Worth/Dallas area with low milage. This one most likely came out of Florida because the nav sys still had directions to Miami and other FL locations.
One thing I don't follow is.....I've a Iphone 7 with my music on it. I can pair the phone with the car and use its phone, but seemingly I can't pair the Apple music on the Iphone 7 with the blue tooth and listen to the phone music from the car. I can do this on a 2014 ML350 Bluetec I have, but not this CL. I wonder it that is possible? Not required but I find it strange I can do this on a 2014 ML but not a '14 CL. Then again I can put the music on a SD card and listen that way.....so I wonder about myself at times. It's just odd to me.
Best things I like about the CL is the looks, quiet interior at 80-85 mph cruising, no 'B' pillar (thought at one time getting a BMW 650I coupe but it has a 'B' pillar). Like the 516 lb/ft of torque and 428hp to pull away from jerks on the interstate who like to clump together in a little bunch for God only knows why. I just like real coupes with two doors and no 'B' pillar like XK Jaguars and the like.
Too bad the EPA and the like in Europe are driving the mfrs to make four bangers and electric that you can't drive anywhere other than one county to the other and back.
Enough for now. Off to re-run the MotoGP Austrian race of today.

CL550 4matic
I have the same car. I run the 255's up front, and 295's in the rear. Previous comments are accurate, you DO need to be careful about running staggered, but the important thing is to ensure that your front and rear wheel and tire diameter are identical, or within a minimal amount of variance (I believe MB is 4% variance?). Right now, your car is running identical wheels and tires at all four corners. IF you choose to stagger, you must ensure that the fronts and rears have the same diameter...mine are 27" tall exactly both front and rear, and I run a deep concave setup. Hope this helps.

Wheel fitment
I just bought a 2012 CL550 full Designo in Designo platinum black and the champagne white leather with champagne white wood. I just, as of today, bought off a brand new un delivered 2023 S580 with the 21” AMG staggered set up. Same exact fitment except 2’s” taller and will fill up the wheel wells even better. The 4matic won’t notice any difference. They are identical to the 275 35 20 /245 40 20 or the 255 40 19 originals

Thanks for replying as you can see I’m still riding on the factory wheels, looking to buy new ones during spring time. Your info will be useful Curious you didn’t say what wheel brand is on the CL600
