MY 11 CL550
Lane keep assist vibration intensity

Hey there,

I recently owned a '11 CL550 which the dealer did a buyback on due to some mechanical issues. That car's lane keep assist steering vibration was pretty intense. Intense enough not only did you feel it, you could hear it (even the passenger) I always thought it was little excessive.

I just bought another '11 CL550 (this one practically new at 9000 miles) and this one's vibration intensity is so low you can barely feel it. Total opposite of the spectrum. It does work and I do feel it, but I have to anticipate it.

I understand how the system works. Car pulls back on solid lines like it should, green light is on indicating lines have been recognized etc.

I'm primarily confused on the weak vibration intensity on this car vs the very strong one the previous one that I returned.

Any thoughts?

That is how mine is, very subtle. That is how it is supposed to be. Your other system might have had an underlying issue.
