Hi guys

Got a strange intermittent start issue

Sometimes when I hit the button, the engine cranks a couple of turns and then cranking will stop. At same time RPM counter will hit the max

If i press the button again or hold it down the car will crank aagain and start

Someone else has suggested the starter ring is dry and needs lubricatiing/ Does this sound right? Anyone had a similar experience?
