CL55 AMG issues?

Hello all,
It's been a while sense I have written.
I am looking at a 03 CL55 AMG.
Any issues or things I should look for, or need to be aware of?

The 2003 CL55 is pretty bullet proof.

Yeah Timster, there are a few big glaring issues.

Main point being it's way too fast!

So what color and what mods are planned for the CL?

Hi Guys,
Yes it's been a while.

The one I'm looking at is Black on Black with 20" wheels. It's got 34K on it, I've only seen pictures of it. I have an appointment this afternoon for a test drive.
As for mod's I'm not sure, but Kleemann performance mods are on top of the list.

I am also looking at upgrading and I asked the service advisor at my dealership if there were recurring issues. He said that the coil packs(?) were sometimes a problem. He did not mention if this was for the 500 or the 55 as I asked about the CL in general. Anyone hear of this?

20" = heavy.

Swap those out with some Competitions!

I have heard the 600 coil packs were a problem in the past.

I had both coilpacks (24 coils) replaced on my 600. Twice. Seems fine now. I don't think its an issue on the V8.

I'm not sure I'll get the CL55 I was looking. The dealer was suppose to call me on Sunday for a test drive, but didn't. No biggy there are several out there. I'll just start looking at the others.
If I get one, I'll post pic's.
