W215 exterior a-pillar cover came off...how to fix?
Hello my friends! Ok, so here's the deal...last night in Mexico I was testing out my new tune from Eurocharged (it's great, btw) and was doing about 160mph when my drivers side A-pillar came loose from the car. Now it didn't completely fly off, due to the screw where it meets the fender. BUT, it appears as though the 5 (maybe 6, can't remember) clips holding it on stripped from the "screws" they attach to. Also, near the roof there are two button type clips that also didn't hold. One broke, and the a-pillar apparently just came loose from the other one. So...here's my question, is this something I can fix by getting new clips, or is this a body shop thing? Anyone ever had this happen?

2003 CL55
I had this happen to my when I first got my used cl55 a few months ago. I took mine to a mb-cert body shop and they replaced the clips and put new rivets (two button type clips) at the top. Did not charge much. Under $100 for the work. I happy with the result and have not had a problem since.

Thanks for the info. I have the clips and rivets on order...

How do you remove ?
A pillar cover on the CL55 ('01) ?
Branch whacked it (and windshield) in the Memorial Day storms. I have a replacement but still can't figure out remove/install.
F.Y.I. - windshield is $900 and can't be had local here in Houston...

P.S. - 160 MPH on Mexican roads ???... nuts of titanium
