Voice commands and mic not working???

I recently bought a Mercedes Benz bluetooth thingy that goes under your arm rest so I could use my Blackberry and my wife's IPhone 4 in my car. They pair up no problem and the lists of people are there. I can make a phone call and everything works fine. The only problem is that I can hear the people on the other end but they can't hear me. I then tried the Voice Commands and they didn't work either. So my question is; is there a way to turn on the mic or adjust its volume/sensitivity or is my mic fubared? If its the mic, can I just buy a replacement at the dealer or do I have to by a new rear view mirror? If I have to got that route, I will just go to Best Buy and buy one of those portable bluetooth things and pay $80. R.K.

I just wanted to update this thread. Mu indie mechanic suspected the voice control module was not working properly. I sourced a used one and installed it. Funny thing is I didn't have to activate it via STAR. I installed and checked it and it works now!!! I'm very happy.

I have 2005 S500 with same issue I can make calls i can hear perfect communication from other side using my car's audio sustem but no one can hear me. I took car to dealer and they says it could be multipal issues could be faulty VCM unit or faulty cable or coneections. I watned to see if you can advise me where did you find a used VCM unit and i will start from there.

I found one on ebay. They are very hard to find for the CL65. Your's might be easier. Just pull it out and get the mercedes part number off of it. Then go on ebay and search. It took me 3 months before someone posted one for sale. New they are $1000. I bought mine for $100.
