w215 nav update

had a basic question about the nav update CD'S is there any benefit buying a updated CD? besides new roads and stores.... does the new cd change the way the picture looks? make it look more modern?

Looks basically the same. You just get new roads and stores added, as you said.

I'm currently having trouble updating the nav unit. I went from a 2005 disk to a 2011 nav disk. Doing this you have to have an update done on the unit using another disk (mercedes part). I have tried numerous times and it won't update. In the spring I will take it to my indie shop and see if they have better luck.

I was lucky and scored the 2011 Nav disk for $100. I think its worth it around my area because in the past 6 years, alot has changed.
