It's the aerial for the tyre pressure moniter. There is one in each wheel well.

Thanks Ausmbtech.
I always thought the tire pressure monitors transmitted to a central unit. The prev owner of my car deactivated it. I wonder why? Thanks, Frank |

The story I get is that the sensor in the wheel tends to give up and throw a code, so you can fix it (probably not cheap) or I guess somebody now knows how to kill it as the short cut.
I personally like watching my pressures change as I drive. It's the OCD in me. Having them all at the same level make's Monk happy.

On the steering wheel, left side, lower rocker/toggle, --- toggle through to the odometer, then use the upper rocker on the left side to get to the tire pressure. it's two pushes on the plus - first one past the wrench. Keep going and you will find the oil level check.
I'm doing this from memory. So screw with it until you find it.
