hey usman hope all is well... i honestly didnt change the steering wheel but ive experienced something similar. ive changed the front 2008 dim light to the 2011 led fog lights and installed them in the old bumper . first it didn't work properly and it gave me a hard time and after installing the module it worked properly so im sure if u get a new module it will work hopefully
i also think that MB changed the electric current used in the new models and that the reason why when u change from new to old it doesn't work properly...

BUMP.... Has anyone been able to get the wooden steering wheel from the facelifted W216(2011+) to work on the CL63 2008-2010. If so what was needed and how much did it cost.
