New steering wheel on CL63...HELP!!

Hi guys,

This is my old boring steering wheel....

I have now fitted a new facelift later version one to my car...

Now, Since ive fitted the new wheel, none of the function, paddle shifts or even horn works!

The plug were all the same, so I assumed it would be plug and play, but sadly not the case..

A mercedes techy suggested that I may need a new Steering wheel module, but not 100% sure....

Has anyone changed their steering wheel to a facelift version?

(I intend on fitting my old paddle shifts onto the newer wheel as they are larger and feel more mean )

hey usman hope all is well... i honestly didnt change the steering wheel but ive experienced something similar. ive changed the front 2008 dim light to the 2011 led fog lights and installed them in the old bumper . first it didn't work properly and it gave me a hard time and after installing the module it worked properly so im sure if u get a new module it will work hopefully i also think that MB changed the electric current used in the new models and that the reason why when u change from new to old it doesn't work properly...

BUMP.... Has anyone been able to get the wooden steering wheel from the facelifted W216(2011+) to work on the CL63 2008-2010. If so what was needed and how much did it cost.
