Where is the inline fuel filter on a 2003 CL55 AMG?

Driver side somewhere in the front of the rear wheel well of I remember correctly. Remove rear/ middle underbody plastic covers and you will see it. RemOve fuel filler cap if you don't want to get sprayed when removing the filter.

It is on the driver side of the car right in front of the rear tire. One plastic tray has to come off. It is actually just one small tray. The fuel filter sits right next to the fuel pump. Very simple job. Much easier then an Audi.
