So, I do not appreciate being lumped into the category of "Most wealthy people" those are people who make good money not people with "vast fortunes" One last thing it isn't invested capital, it is monthly interest I am spending and I am always re-investing my interest, I just wanted a new car. Why is this an issue? I just asked a question about which car I should buy. My father taught me," It isn't what you make, it is what you do with what you make". I know a lot of people that make a lot of money and are in debt to the point, if something were to happen it would all crumble, like a house of cards. I only pay cash for my homes, boats, planes, cars, or anything that I need. Another thing he taught me, "If you can't afford to pay cash you cant afford it". I'm not buying a used car if I can afford a new one. Someone will always have to take the depreciation, that my friend is life. So please do not make this a money issue make this about what car would be the hottest. I still own my very first car and I now have about 40 cars. I will keep this car, so I want it to be something in 30 plus years I can be proud of.
then go buy that CL! I thought maybe money was a problem, but since it is not, go for it, It looks rediculous. and is definitely something you can be proud of in 30 years..... what other car is going to have that combo?!?!?

2011 cl63 (R.I.P.)
I'm not sure how close the 2014 CL will look to that picture. The dimensions look fairly awkward, and the side mirrors are from the previous generation, not the current? Just seems odd. Also, looking at the cloaked pics around the web of the 2014 S class, the overall shape doesn't even seem right.

If you order the 2013, official pics of the 2014 S/CL (or S-Coupe, or whatever) will be circulating far in advance of March of next year. You could be facing months' worth of buyer's remorse. If you already have a 2011 CL600, I'd say wait. Even if money isn't an issue. Or since you are in LA, take your 2011 to one of the many reputable body shops in the LA area (many around Beverly Hills!) and have them go to town on it. I know guys who've had the 2011/2012 CL65 front-end swapped onto the front of their 2011/2012 CL550 or CL600. Pick a custom interior and have the car you want in weeks instead of 7 months.

If you're buying new cars every year and money then why are you comparing a new CL versus one you won't be able to get for ages?

2013 is much better looking than 07-10 versions and will never come back once 2014 comes out. Why don't you order it and then consider a 2014-2015 once the first glitches are taken care of or wait for the convertible if it becomes available?
