I have not tuned an E55 for E85 yet. (Craig) Chawkings did his and he had great results!
However I have tuned many many highly modded 55k motors and have had great results! Some of the dyno graphs are posted in my W211 thread
I have a OBD2 flashing tool (MyGenius) that will allow you to swap tunes on the fly at any time!
Thanks!

I have worked on many many 55k cars over the years, and I have had 2 E55s myself. They are awesome motors which are great for making power on.
I dont have a dyno of only tune vs stock, but I have many dynos of E55's that are heavily modified that I have dyno tuned in the past! I have posted a few in the E55 section in my thread
Thank you!

So Speedriven, what makes your tunes that much better than Aleks to be able to charge 3 times the price as him? Is it one of those things that everyone is pissed that another player has entered the game and is charging what I feel is a reasonable amount for a ECU tune/flash vs getting completely gouged. I guess in the end Renntech was the original "high cost" tune and then all of these other guys opened up shops and started under cutting Renntech. Now its happening to them and they feel violated. I guess this is the American dream and Capitalism at its finest.

I would still like to see the tune, as written by y'all, on a 65. either a customer comment or dyno. do you have anyone on this board in a 65. I left y'all a voicemail on Friday, too.

Excellent question. I would love to hear the answer from both Aleks and Marcin (possibly other tuners) and hope it will not be deleted by mods. I am really puzzled on what is going on... If after all the investment into development and the equipment, these prices are enough to make a profit, why do all vendors charge so much more ? Sorry, I spent around 10K on the equipment and zero on development - even with zero development costs and these prices, I just cannot afford to wait for 10 years to get my money back. What is the catch ?!

Allow me to explain the situation to future customers of mine.
I have been tuning cars for 5 years now. I have had my tuning equipment before the other company even opened.
I have formal training from ecu tuning companies. I have spent lots of time and money to travel to Italy and Germany to be trained by the worlds best tuners of tuners. I was not taught the trade while my few months at the other company. My knowledge extends to many many different ecus from all different kinds of manufactures. My knowledge of Mercedes tunes have been in the making for years and years. It was not taken from anyone. I can create ecu tunes for many different ecus from scratch and I can prove my talent at any time.
Hope this helps!
Thanks

Aleks,
Thanks for the answer. Equipment part is understood and I know you are quite knowledgeable in tuning, just do not know the extent. RND usually takes most of the time/money (much more than equipment) so how were you able to cut down the cost of R&N ?
All I am trying to get to is what is the real cost of the tune, as well as to understand how one can recoup the cost of 10K equipment (never mind the development costs) selling tunes for 300$. Honestly, me as just a vendor (not even developer of the tune) cannot afford this. If you really can afford selling your own developed tunes for this price, hat off to you. Mind you, some of the equipment for some of the tunes you are selling was not available "before the other company even opened.". Pricing might be off on your end...
Once again, I have no doubt you are good in what you are doing, just want to see where I invested more than I should.
Igor.

Hope all is well
This knowledge and R&D is recouped by volume and my access to resources. I can not respond to others methods, but I can speak of my own. My work with my Italian and German counterparts have granted me great advances in knowledge and knowhow which allowed me to pursue these tuning markets. I have from there put my own knowledge and research for years now which have allowed me to confidently tune ECUs and their software safely and reliably.
I have priced my product accordingly to my belief in the correct market price.
As to the initial cost of the equipment, it was much higher than 10k. I do not plan to be a fly by night company. I am here for the long haul to provide good products. My business can absolutely afford to sell my product at my prices.
Thanks
Aleks
