going AMG...spoilt for choice
Hi, I know this may have been discussed 100 times, but i never heard anything exact apart from obvious "tighter, faster steering" i mean thats obvious is it on par with handling of ligher sportier cars like.
I am going to sell cl500 and go AMG, either cl55k or e55k, reason being i want to modify and joy ride, so i have one question is the DRIVING DYNAMICS of CL55k much better and much sportier then normal CL500, i am talking CORNERS HANDLING and BREAKING. and is the e55k more fun perhaps, as its nimble.
my main concern isnt power, its HANDLING. i know cl55k is more sporty, is it on par with proper sports cars to throw about in corners, i know e55k is good for throwing around countryside lanes
all advice greatly Appreciated

The CL55 is a very capable yacht, but it's still a yacht. No amount of hydraulic wizardry can make nearly 5000 lbs handle like a car half it's weight. Luxury adds weight, and a lot of those luxuries are designed to insulate the inhabitants from the road. I recommend keeping the CL500 for long highway drives and getting a true sports car for the twisties.

I agree with star power. The CL can be a fantastic ride but it's not a car that takes well to lateral G forces. A CLK AMG would be a better compromise of handling, power and luxury.

The cl55 and e55s are not sports cars and despite the mighty forward trust they have spongy steering and brake feel and lousy body dynamics.
The newer crop of Amg cars especially the c63 one are more driver oriented, but less luxurious in road feel.

guys thanks for advice, as any 63 engine cars are still too expensive for me, i will have to wait) goal set on 2012 e63, still considering cl63 w216, these are meant to handle on par with lighter cars
