CL600 2003 Battery and trunk problem
Hello,
I have not been on the forum for a while due to travel and business. As a result, I did not drive the CL600 Carlsson as much in the past five months.
As a result, the battery died. Since the battery is dead, car sits very low.
Battery is in the trunk.
I can't open the trunk even with the mechanical key. Two AAA technicians have tried to no avail to open the trunk.
Car cannot be towed because it needs to be put in neutral to be put on a flatbed.
My only option seems to be to call the dealership and ask them to send out the technician with the "magic touch"
Can CL600 2003 be modified so that it can be "jumped" like other cars (open, the hood and be back on the road in five minutes?).
I thought of unplugging the battery (red?) before going on a trip but I thought that would disable the trunk (ha!).
Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Sam

That's why I have a trickle charger installed on my car for those long storage times. There was a thread on here showing you how to get juice to the car. It involves getting the hood open though. Can you get into your car to open the hood?

Thank you!
That picture with a red wire looks like a hack I am looking for. Yes, I should have installed the trickle charger. Will do that pronto.

Once again - thank you.
I was able to jump the car by removing the carpet (front passenger seat), styrofoam piece and the metal plate to get to the thick red cable.
I was not able to find the red cable in the fuse box.
