CL shopping
Was originally interested in a 2008-2011 CL 63 but was offered a 2008 CL 65 with 30k that was built for Europe. Car was in Germany from 2008-10 then imported to NJ. Owner claims different from US Spec cars, any truth to that? How many miles can I expect to get out of the 65 motor before major issues start popping up? Any major differences from 2008 cars to now?
On the 63 which is best year to own as far as holding value? I found a 2010 at my local MB dealer and sales guy said 2010 was most desireable because it was last year of motor that everyone loved that they are no longer putting in the cars. Told me 2008 cars had a ton of issues that were corrected on '09's.
Wanted to ask you guys because I knew I would get most honest and accurate answers....

I think you need to consider not which will hold value but where the sweet spot is on this car and for me it was 2009 6 months ago, because I could get a warranty that was not unobtainable.
These cars drop like rocks out of factory warranty and you will pay a premium for a 2010 because it's still in there. That being said a 2009 is still best bang but purchase a warranty for the next 3 or 4 and don't buy Mercedes warranty.
