I been using Mobil 0-40 synthetic, I have problem adding oil every 500 miles... I went to mechanical shop where they do tune ups for AMG's, mechanic told me that I am using wrong engine oil! He suggested me Motul 8100 X-Max Motor Oil? Should I use Motul or Mobil?

AMG specifies Mobil 1 0W40 for the CL65. There is even a factory sticker on the core support recommending it.

that's just from personal opinion (as we are all entitled to one) Mobil 1 is overpriced to begin with it turns BLACK within 400 miles and I have seen dozen of cars that were consuming (lets say 1000 miles a quart) they switched over to a different brand and got almost double the mileage.

turning black? All oils have detergents. Oil should get dark, its doing its job.

some grades of mobil 1 aren't not terrific, such as 5w-30. 0w-40 has shown to be a very good oil.
