Lower arms are one piece with ball joints and upper are one piece with ball joints.
You CAN just replace the ball joints but it's more a of a pain than replacing the whole thing if you do it yourself and most shops won't do it for you without replacing the entire thing.
Dealer price for lower arms is around $340 each but you can find them online (OEM) for around $140 each, similar pricing for uppers i believe.

A good pair of pliers and lots of waggling the so-called quick release collars (hang your head in shame, whoever was responsible for those).
First try to rotate it left and right, more and more until it rotates, then start moving it up and down a mm at a time.
It can take time, but it can be done.
