warped rotors
Anyone besides me have issues with their rear rotors warping?
One of the attractive things about my car when I bought it last year was the fact that it had new front and rear brakes. However, I think they may have bought some cheap aftermarket rear rotors because they warped terribly in only a few thousand miles. I had them turned and one was so bad they took it right down to the minimum of 24mm to get it straight. The car stopped smooth again after that, but now a couple thousand miles later the rear rotors are warped again.
Another difference is the rear rotors are grey, but my front rotor hats are black. Also, the rears dust a LOT more than my fronts. Again a couple reasons why I think they may have used aftermarket parts on the rear.
Not sure if this is normal so hoping some of you can confirm if stock rear rotors are grey vs. black, prone to warping, and dust worse than fronts.

Hey, I've had my car around 5.5 years and roughly 16,000 miles never touched them and still have a decent amount of pad. There is some scoring and eventually they will be replaced. It sounds like yours were not replaced with OEM.

Yes you are right Anthony, I have a line lock so burnouts at the track are not an issue for my rear brakes. However, stopping from 130mph with warped rotors......
I'm sure some of you have replaced rear rotors and pads. If you have, are the stock MB rotors grey or black like the fronts? About ready to order new ones from the dealership, just hate to end up with the same issue again.
