Crazy that according to this dealer my 1993 500E is worth considerably more than a CL65

Very clean looking and a great price so much car! A shame not much demand for V12 MB's but for us owners and future buyers it is great!

The 500E is a piece of history, not to mention they are rare and limited.

That's about average of what's actually selling. If you threw 20k out there, they would probably take it.

Amazing that they're now barely twice what the sales tax would have been on the original sticker. My brother bought his when the price was just under the six-figure mark. Sure, a car is never really an investment but jinkies, that's a long way to fall!

It's a shame such a well-built car drops in value like this simply because most people who like the cars don't do their own work. I'll never touch a turbo 4-cyl again after having cubic inches and boost. How could you pick a boring commuter appliance when $26k gets you something like this? 99% of people who buy a turbo import to modify will never get it to the power level this car starts at from the factory.

The AutoTrader shows a dealer with a 2003 S600 for right at $12k -- another steal as family sedans go. If they keep it much longer I might be tempted to toss out an offer even though I don't need another car right now. I want to say mileage is in the 80k range so that's not bad either.

I agree, these cars are ridiculously cheap. I keep seeing S65's so cheap I'm tempted to buy one for my Arizona house. Be nicer to drive when down there on vacation than the average rental car......

That car is cheap because has previously been involved in an accident, although does look like a good buy. I asked em for carfax report few weeks ago.

Maintenance costs. Otherwise, I know a LOT of people that would jump all over that. Their deal is basically never - ever - having to spend more than about $2k at one time. Everything has to be included in the monthly payments, or be a few hundred dollars extra for service. $2000 front brakes + pads + labor are not even on the table, much less the idea of something catastrophic like a huge chunk of the ABC failing.
