problem with remote locking mechanism

hi, this is very interesting. driver's side door work perfectly with remote. passenger side will lock with the remote, but when i try to unlock the passenger door with the remote the button comes up about 1/4 of an inch and then closes. i tried multiple times and the passenger door does the same thing each time. interesting thing is that when i access the door lock and unlock buttons above the command system the passenger door works perfectly. i'm puzzled as to why the passenger door will not open with the remote, but will close with the remote and why it works perfectly from the lock and unlock buttons over the command unit. would love some feedback. btw, the silver handle on the inside of the door also works and the remote works on the trunk. also the soft close works all around.
thanks

Very peculiar. I haven't come across that sort of problem. All I could suggest is to remove the door panel and inspect the door lock. Perhaps there's some sor to mechanical blockage that's causes resistance the mechanism, and that's causing a safety cut-out for protection.
