New wheels! Weak spec tho... Need suggestions

So I just picked up some wheels on craigslist, DPE ST7. Specs are 19x8.5 all around, pretty weak but I cant complain cause they were a steal. Faces are brushed aluminum and lips are chrome. Im planning to get them re-barreled. Found brand new lips for super cheap. Only thing is, I can only change the front from a 2.5" lip to a 3" and rear from 2.5" lip to 3.5" which will bring the wheels to 19x9 up front and 19x9.5 in the rear which is still weak to me. It will make the fitment flush though. Id like to change them to 3.5" up front and 4.5" in the rear but that wont be possible cause they will stick out too much pass the fenders.. I was hoping for 19x9.5 in front and 19x10.5 in the rears.. Lips are cheap but idk if its worth doing? Heres a pic

you can use spacers to lower the offset

How did you know I wanted the cls-1's? I was thinking about them but I found these and they were cheap and three piece unlike the cls-1

I be creepin . I saw your post asking the csl-2 guy about offsets. I want to see the csl-2 set up properly on a CL55 as well.

I'm pretty tired of dealing with prices and leaks of 3 piece wheels so I thought the csl series was pretty dope. Havnt seen them in person yet, but from what I hear, the brushed faces look legit. I wish they came with a standard flat lip option as well, but Im pretty sure the step lip will look sick, especially with the height that you keep your car at. I'm just trying to see someone with the damn things on a CL already lol.

But I def hear you about picking these dpe's up if it was a steal. Thy are gorgeous wheels. Yeah it's a a square setup and not really as wide as the rear should be, but it sounds like you are going to take care of that. Just make sure to keep the pictures coming please. Your car looks too beautiful not to.

Keep us posted

Haha, yeah the cls-1's are sick man. I was so close to getting them but I waited and found the dpe's. I think you'll be better off with three piece wheels then one piece tho cause you can always take them apart but for one piece, you're screwed if you hit a fat pothole. You should just get them if you were planning too man. They look legit like three piece wheels. Step lip is the way to go haha, I was thinking about getting these re lipped to step but I like how low the car is on 19's. As for pictures, I'll keep them coming after I wash my car haha.

Here's my boy's VIP Modulars VR05 in 20's that I slapped on and took a quick picture of. They look similar to the cls-1's. Not really a good pic to use as a reference but it's better then nothing haha.

I love those wheels man! These are why I would appreciate a flat lip on the csl-1...get some longer spokes going. These look great on every car I've ever seen them on, sedans and coupes.

What's your friend got them on? I can't drive tires like that... I dont like feeling the road that much.

Your car was killing on those varienzas too! I think I saw it in person once. Definitely remember tripping over myself when I saw it though! It was drop dead.

The teaser pics tho! Lol

that looks so good.
The 8.5 square set up doesn't look bad at all... if you don't get new lips, some spacers front and rear and you're rocking. But a wider rear would no doubt bring this all the way home.

The wheels are legit. great looking.
