UPD Beltwrap Kit really works
The famous Beltwrap Kit by Shardul/Brook or their company called "UPD" really does work.
After i had initial issues with the included belt which was to short somehow, i bought a german Brand "Continental Contitech 8PK1371" belt which did fit for my stock car with the BWK.
I'm using a Ultragauge to monitor some values sent over OBD Port and during long WOT runs in 3rd or even 4th gear on the Autobahn, max Boost near max RPM i saw, was always around 0.68 bar or 9.86PSI. Only once i remember the number showed 0.70 bar or 10.15PSI for one second or so - until the Ultragauge refreshed.
Now with the Beltwrap Kit i have constant 0.75bar or ~10.9PSI. So the reduced Beltslip is worth around 1 PSI of boost.
Good Kit, does what its supposed to do.

Looking over my tools now to determine if I have the necessary ones to install mine tomorrow at my friend's or at my place. I have heard 0 negative results about this modification and am looking forward to it. Question though, did you find removing and realigning the serpentine belt difficult? That's the only part I am skeptical about.

I just installed this today and what do ya know, an e60 BMW M5 was on my route while testing so what better opportunity to test out the power. So this was a perfect straight and no traffic for about a mile so he took off, I was in 3rd gear. Didn't kickdown until I started to see him pull. After a second I decided to and to make this short we ended up about neck and neck with him but we did just cross triple digits.
Either way maybe this belongs in the kill stories thread but I definitely noticed the power after the install. Love this kit and looking forward to increasing the boost.

Yes i also think the power is more consistent... hard to describe. Before the KIT, my body know when which "force" is working when. Now with the KIT there is no change in that feeling throughout the gear. The Ultragauge shows like stated above 1PSI more boost (thats impressive!) and i now reach 200kph even faster i believe.
I really need some sort of measuring GPS device to measure my 0-60 etc time by GPS.
I had 2 kills in my CL55 so far, one was a Lambo Gallardo Spider and one was a Ferrari 575/550 on the Autobahn. This was without BWK and with aftermarket wrong paper airfilters. After i switched to foam filters by ITG UK the car revs up much much more freely and it seems it pulls quicker especially at daily driving (not WOT).

Yes, the BeltWrap tidys up blower consistancy. Did you guys do smaller blower pulley and Eurocharged tune? Well, this'll produce CTS-V, M5 etc. killing. Though belongs in another Mod thread...headers are on next for an additional 40 hp.

Crissus nice kills and glad to hear others are having such fantastic results. And Principledchiro I did not do a smaller pulley. My plan is to install a Killer Chiller later this year and then go with a Fixed pulley and may have it custom tuned by a guy in MD who has a pretty sick SL55. That being said I wanna be fully cooled before turning up the boost and not have to stay wondering about my IATs.

Appreciate the help TheTherapist. I actually installed the kit on the 29th and did not remove the Fan shroud, have a few nice gashes on my hands from it but nothing to deter my wrenching. My biggest problem was having an incorrect belt. And by the time I figured it out, the kit was installed and had to baby it back to my house with the Blower belt resting on the tensioner. Got a new belt and some tools that I had intended to buy originally anyways and it fit like a glove, had issues with the accessory belt only because I removed the double idler pulley instead of the thermostat mounts but that was fine. Love this mod and actually have a FSP on the way. Cannot wait to see what that instant torque is like, also have datalogging finally as well so should be running safely as well.
