Hesitation/heat soak / restart
2005 CL65 AMG 180K miles
I have been experiencing a hesitation for a few months. When I shut down the car and restart after 30 minutes of soaking I get a strong hesitation on acceleration, the car does it a few times over what seems to be less than a minute then its fine.
I found that if I leave the hood up after shut down the car runs fine. I then watered down the engine one area at a time until I came to the DBW throttle unit. It seems If I wet down that area the car runs fine.
Whats the history with the DBW throttle bodies going bad ?
