Driveshaft Removal Question
I have searched and I'm having trouble finding out whether or not I need to remove the exhaust before removing the driveshaft. Is it necessary to remove the exhaust completely or can I let it hang? Also, do I need to replace the carrier bearing mount or is it OK to just replace the bearing itself? The reason I ask is because I have a vibration that has it been resolved by balancing or repairing the wheels. I am replacing the transmission mount at the same time. Hopefully this will help. Any suggestions are welcome.

Just replaced my flex disks the other day and when I had the shaft disconnected from both ends it looked like it would slide out the back fairly easy without having to drop the exhaust. I would revolve the heat shields though to better manhandle the shaft....giggity.
