OIL SENSOR MALFUNCTION Question
First - I am LOVING my 2005 CL65!! Just an amazing vehicle, inside and out.
It is so loaded with goodies that I seem to find something new about the car every week. So thanks again to all of you who encouraged me to buy one.
Question #1:
A warning popped up on my dash stating:
OIL SENSOR MALFUNCTION
Visit Workshop
Can anyone point me in the right direction or provide some helpful tips on solving this?
Question #2:
Would this type of warning have any affect on accessing the power of the vehicle. It feels as if the turbos simply are not engaging.
If not the warning - is there a setting I might have hit or have the car in that would affect the power? (It runs great - just lacking the turbo kick)
Thanks!

I can't help with the oil sensor question, but I can say there is no way to turn off the boost or turbo's from in the car. If everything is working right boost comes on when needed.

I had a similar issue on my biturbo CL600. The oil sensor is not massively expensive but you have to remove the sump to change it. The most awkward part of the job for me was undoing the wiring plug that is located above the subframe and takes really dextrous hands to unplug.
If you have access to WIS the instructions are all fairly straightforward and I did mine on the drive with stands so no major tools are needed.
Hope this helps.
