Hey guys. This is my first post here. I just picked up a 2003 CL55 AMG and the car is sweet. I made a short ram intake box with a K&N filter... The car definitely gained with the setup... and the blower screams like no other. It drops right in, just have to remove part of the cowling that clips in under the extractor vents on the hood. I'm not so much looking to get rid of the setup, I just want to revise it to accept a slimmer and wider filter- and I'm certainly not just going to toss this, so I figured I'd put it up for $400 shipped to someone that wants a badass piece for a good price. How do you protect it from water ingress?

Yeah, the cling film over the filter made me wonder.

I know having previously having to bag my filter constantly after having a vented hood, now rectified with a custom intake and filter from the Weistec blower.

The film over the filter was the filter new in the box... still wrapped. You make a small deflector to sit above the filter

What is going to hold the filter in place so dirt doesn't come in from around the edges?
