As the car sits it gets wheel spin at 70. From what i am told you cant really go past a 285 without rubbing since i will be lowering it about an inch.

I want to say we have one here at 305? Still, you'll drive the car differently on the street than you will at the track.

Well when you guys get it if you can see what can fit that would be great. Also wanted y'all to go over it to make sure it does not need anything else.

Get a set of drag radials and see what it can do before mods, you need some basis of comparison. I don't think there is much racing with the 216s or any on DRs. Stock wheel spin is annoying with the open differential. Traction control kicks in and ruins the fun even when turn off. The LSD will allow the wheels to spin a little slower since they are sharing the power. As a result, it's not crazy wheel spin, the computer allows it if you have it turned off on the dash.

Buick T-Type, 70 cuda, S65 and a very FAST Truck!
Awesome times RaceHorse! Very impressed with the MPH and the great 1.59 60 foot. Would you mind sharing your modifications with us?

Great work! You can definitely tell you have put lots of effort into your combination.

Well those numbers are even more impressive now. I think I will need to order a driver mod. lol

I am contemplating a pair of drag rims for the car as well to do some track stuff. Also we have a race night next weekend and I may be able to run mine before she is sent out. Its just as it sits the car is all to anxious to spin the tires past 80 so I will have to try it with and without the ESP on. The reviews I have seen on the car shows that all the magazines got better times with the TC on. I think its 0-60 was 4.1 on and 4.6 off. Quarter mile was similar and time difference if memory serves. Anywhere in the 10's and I will be happy. Low 10's to high 9's and I will be ecstatic!

You are seeing the need for the limited slip more and more with wheel spin. Michelin PS2s or PSS with give you the best traction before going to a drag radial. Even after they are warmed up they still spin, but with cold tires there is no chance . Launching at the track on street tires is a waste, very hard to get a decent time due to wheel spin. My best tune only was 11.34 @ 125.9mph on street tires. I doubt you will see that stock since your car has a bit more weight. Have you made any pulls over 155mph? Who knows maybe it's tuned, although I'm not quite sure when some cars were offered with 186mph limiters. Worst case scenario, you will have trap speeds as a decent indicator. Hurry up and get those drag radials. Lol.

So is a 12.36 pass alright for a stock one of these?

It's not uncommon to see 11.5's with tires. Your trap speed is what matters on street tires. What was it? I think I hit 120 stock.
