Happy day! Got my CL65!

Got me a companion for the RS6 for those times when I dont need all four doors.
2012 Designo Graphite AMG CL65. Was the exact color and option combo I wanted and I just could not resist. I am already falling hard for her. Its so much more refined and every bit as fast bone stock as the RS6 is with many mods. I feel very fortunate to be at a place in my life where I can own two of my all time favorite cars. Yeah both will plummet in value but I dont care, I bought them for me and not some possible future owner.
4 turbos, 20 cylinders and 86 valves. Whats not to like! lol

It was a LONG drive back home and since 3 friends wanted to tag along and we are all full sized it was a very uncomfortable drive. Plus after 23 hours of driving I was shot and still have yet to sleep. Right after I posted here I did go to a local gathering and was blown away by the amount of people around the car. As I was leaving I could see it was covered in fingerprints. lol
Also forgot i turned off the ESP when I made a U-turn. That was exciting. Scared the hell out of the guy in the Hellcat. lol

Congratulations on your new ride, a very nice car and by far the pinnacle of the W216. I couldn't think of a better car to travel in for 23 hrs. It must have been tough to maintain self control and not get multiple speeding tickets. Custom air intake, catless downpipes along with a tune will take the car to a whole new level. You'll be surprised with what the stock turbos are capable of when there is little restrictions on in and out.

Due to trial and error on the RS6 I decided with the CL I will just put it in a carrier and let Speedriven throw the catalog at it. lol Going with thier highest level setup on E85.

Flex fuel? Launch control? Rolling anti-lag? Oh, yes.

You and I have discussed that Jo.
We may do that a little latter for the reasons we had discussed. But yes on the $30,000 package and LSD and suspension module.

"In development" (only 2 cars running ATM- which is one of the reasons it says "call" on our website), but: yes. With a Mercedes transmission, too- no cheating. LOL!

Could you provide any more info as to what your goals are and what's been accomplished so far? I've been really looking for a flex fuel option on my car.

We can do E85/E98 conversion on the stock ECU as it is. Send me a PM with your contact info. and I'll get Marcin (the main smart guy over here) on the phone with you.

Launch control?????? As in a combination trans brake/ two step/ delay box?????? Or maybe one of the above? I guess it's been too long since I was on Speedriven's website!

We can control the RPM and boost at the line using precise ignition cuts, ignition retard, and fuel cuts. So it's got some intelligence in there. Once you're rolling, we can put in Spin Target and Wheelspin parameters. From the manual ...
WheelSpin is calculated as (drivenspeed-vehiclespeed)/vehicle in %, the wheelspin target (tcSpinTarg) is then calculated by modifying the base values in the Steering angle and Lateral G spin target tables. Multipliers and adders are also applied based on settings on Traction control and Calibration Switches also….. Then the strategy kicks in when a tcSpinErr is produced. tcSpinErr is calculated as WheelSpin-tcSpinTarget

The Overal torque reduction demand (tcTrq) is then calculated as tcSpinErr multiplied by Base Gain and the gain multipliers under Calibration switches… This can be clamped then by Torque Reduction Clamp.

Finally Ignition retard and fuel cuts are applied based on the TcTrq amount vs the Ignition retard and Fuel cut severity calibrations.
Hope that helps.
