July 4th races

Hope everyone had a great Independence day weekend. I had a great weekend at the track. Three days of racing, and I was in the final every day.

I lost Saturday to a full on bracket car who cut a typical for him .02 and ran .01 off his dial, but still won $240 for second place in King Of The Street.

I took first on Sunday for a nice trophy.

In Monday's final I cut a -.02 then ran a 10.90 on a 10.90 dial so another second place thanks to my red light.

My car is still not pulling hard, but at least I found out why. I've lost 4# of boost. I'm betting it's a seal between a turbo and an intercooler. Hope to find the issue this weekend and be ready to go for a PB on Labor Day weekend.

I guess 10.80's aren't bad for only making 14-18#'s of boost....

Have you tried putting T-nut clamps on the short hoses between turbo and IC?

Not yet. I checked the stock clamps and they are ok, at least they seem to be. I have replacement t bolts to go on, just need to pick up some silicon hoses. I may see about replacing the factory T hose from the intercooler's to the TB with a custom silicone hose too. That would allow me to raise the intercooler's some to insulate them from engine heat with phenolic spacers.
