Yeah I've been watching this dude for a while. His horsepower estimates are super exaggerated, and I'm not a fan of how his car looks, but besides that his backyard mechanic approach is doing alright.

Hi! thanks for at least taking the time to look at my videos and the compliment on the backyard mechanic approach. so far, I have saved over $103,000 in mods and repairs going by dealership prices and quotes so I consider that a win. The hp and tq estimates are based off of an s500 with very similar modifications and upgrades including the 100 hp nitrous shot, tuning, turbo upgrades, etc. Everyone has there own style and this just happens to be mine and a majority of people I know seem to also like it =) i appreciate your opinion though! - conekillerautox

hi! its conekillerautoX. I havent posted at all really because I have been busy working so much and also on the car. I primarily am on instagram (conekillerautox) and YouTube. hopefully I will be on here more often, but I am just not one to post a lot seeming like im bragging or showing off. I just do what I do and enjoy it and help others. I am helping several people convert away from the tandem ps/abc pump and things of that nature. Currently in the garage putting in my new air filters and hooking up the new nitrous jets.

Oh hi, surprised you found us! I think it's pretty cool what you've done. You've taken your own approach to your car without big tuner shop bolt-ons, and I'm glad it's working out for you! I'll follow you on instagram.

Sorry I didn't see the vids but did you get rid of the abc and go with a coil over setup?

Another thing, did you do the titanium wrap for looks because it has been much talked about that titanium wrapping has little to no effect performance wise. You can achieve much greater results from ceramic coating and not have the possible corrosion occur from moisture being blocked in with the wrapping.

Hi Fastlife,

Not only did I get rid of the abc suspension, but I also got rid of that unreliable tandem pump too! I got a w220 non abc pump and a different reservoir and I made some custom spacers to get it to work. It was a 6 rib pulley on the w220 pump so I had to get a shorter 6 rib belt for the rest of the cl600's pulleys and I made it work.

In regards to the titanium wrap. I too was skeptical of it. So I used some gold thermal heat reflective wrap on intercoolers (especially underneath where it sits on top of the engine) and while I was at it, I also wrapped the intake piping. Then I wrapped titanium on top of the intakes and so far it has definitely proven to help in addition to my other mods substantially. I ran an ice tank to the bank and plumbed out the vacuum fill/bleed for intercooler circuit. Thus allowing the IC system to bleed from the tank in the back seat. This meant having a secondary pump in the back seat and heavily insulated 3/4 hoses to transport the hot and cool coolant back and forth. This all paired with a custom fabricated 2-3/4" front mount heat exchanger has been keeping intake temps at ambient or within 20-25 degrees above ambient in traffic. when moving, the intake temps have been at or within 10 of ambient in an average of 80-90 degree weather driving around 70 mph.
IC circuit temps have not moved higher than 5 degrees above ambient while driving and will climb to about 110 in 90 degree heat while standing still but as soon as air hits the HE it drops to below 100. Also, I have wired the IC pumps (one in back seat) to run constantly off of a toggle switch.

Very nice I saw the whole chill set up in the vid. You are also a brave man for spraying this motor but I guess if you have fuel timed in it shouldn't be an issue. So tell me how it rides without the abc and no sway bars?

Well there is good and bad.

GOOD: not scared to drive it a half hour from home - no fear of ABC / car to low, pump failures, blown lines, loss of powersteering at high speeds, etc

I love the ability to have dialed in my coils to the correct height and not spend thousands and thousands on the abc system (AWESOME SYSTEM, but just not reliable or remotely affordable to work on)

smooth ride, reliable, adjustable (for the most part), cheaper

BAD you definitely have a lot more body roll. front to back and side to side (A LOT side to side) If I was building a road course car and not a drag car I would have figured out different suspension.

I do plan on retrofitting or making a set of swaybars work in the back of the beast though eventually. along with a locking diff and hopefully a much more bullet proof transmission. I have done as much trans upgrades as I can with this so far.

Your worst nightmare...
Good work. I think you have eliminated one of the most dreaded things on the V12 platform. Definitely makes the car more enjoyable.

thank you. Yeah it had blown a hydraulic line racing a shelby gt500 on the highway and it ignited all over my exhaust piping. and I lost power steering too at the same time haha...so it was time for it to go. Plus, I can use normal power steering fluid since I did the w220 power steering pump conversion

Nice set up, what type of turbo upgrade did you end up going with? Also have you had it at the track with the nitrous?

Thank you! A friend of mine had gotten his hands on 2 cl65 turbos that were from a totaled car and he had them re balenced to be safe and then actually gave them to me as a gift for helping him for a few weeks on his 2 project bmw's

attended an awesome car show out of state last weekend and surprisingly took 1st in the super/hyper car class. McLaren or Ferrari or Lambo, or one of the many gtrs I thought would have won. it was just nice going and driving 3 hours with no mechanical issues and putting the power down. Ill be going to the track in a month or so with the nitrous to see what numbers it can finally make. Beyond excited.
