fuel pump control module
Hey all
I thought I would pass on an experience I had this week. Driving down the road and my 2005 Cl65 stall out. I get to work diag the issue.
Since It seems to have most all electrical system working. i however don't here the F/P running when i turn the ignition on. So I put a test light on the pump and see no voltage at the pump. More head scratching and realize that MB like most all manufactures control the F/P and cycling the key off wont re-in-gauge the power to the pump. So I ended up having to during every test disconnect the battery each time. So the F/P fuse was good, the relay was a real pain the test being in the back seat Fx8790k . Well I traced the voltage into the F/P controller but not coming out.
Just remember testing the fuel pump circuit in a no start is tricky so remember to disconnect the battery each time you want the F/P circuit to energize.

On the 2005 CL65 the fuel pump voltage controller is next to the fuel pump in front of the driver side rear wheel. I just by passed the unit, I am sure there is a good reason its there, Seems to run fine but I did order one coming in next week.
