I just got an original Mercedes home link rearview mirror with auto dimming from eBay to replace stock one but to my dismay Mercedes says that they can not get the auto dimming and home link to work since my car does not have the input for the blue cable. Please help.

I've delt with homelink stuff before, I think all you need is a power source, so maybe tap into the lights or something?
