usb port inside the center console?

2017 CLA250
usb port inside the center console?
Hello.

I just bought a 2017 CLA250. My iphone needs to be plugged in for the carplay to activate, but the USB plug is inside the center console. There is no way that I can find to have the cable come out of the center console so I can keep my phone out on the seat. Has anybody else noticed this?

I just plug mine in, run the wire out in a corner of the cubby and close it on the wire, it's perfectly fine. You won't break the latch.
