All the way to redline which I think is close to 7000rpms I am pretty sure. you know what I mean, everyone on here takes everything so literally jeez. I only drive my car a couple times a week. I don't get out much since I help run a big company. You get what im saying.

Thought you may of had different engine/gearbox software that had raised your rev limiter. Mine hits a wall at 6500rpm on the rev counter I know that much..
What tune do you have again?

I have the renntech tune at setting 5. The tune really adds a lot of torque. The Downpipe seems to add a ton of top end HP. The combination of the 2 is pretty nasty. The car revs so fast now I almost always smack the rev limiter in first gear.

Ditto on the tune pal (although I run setting 6 ). Would love to know what it's like with the DP as well.
Have you had it back on the rollers (before and after comparison) at all?
As for 1st gear - once tuned, the 45's take a skilled pilot to get the most out of 1st gear without head butting the windscreen on the limiter.

You know the feeling you get after you install the tune you are like "wow huge difference" its the same with the Downpipe. Plus the sound it so damn good.

Man harsh crowd lol .... If it's too expensive then don't buy it, but don't trash the vendors thread because of it guys. Show some class.
I am sure the price will come down over time. If the $1750 included tune then it would definitely be worth every penny. I am sure waisted will include tune over time to match the downpipe once the ECU is "cracked"

I agree. Apparently there's really only one company that has is open, which is GAD Motors, and they're not sharing with anyone. Probably to try and corner the market right now. But anyone who would spend close to 4 grand on an ECU tune (which is what they charge) and think it's a good idea is possessed.
Until one of the local guys cracks it, all we can do is wait or do a piggyback. :/

I'm all for subsidizing R&D if I want to be an early adopter. But the simple fact is, early adopters are sharing the risk of something that's very expensive. Thus helping your potential customers by alleviating their worries by answering their questions on a friggin thread they started should be a no-brainer.

So are you saying the customer has to pay for the R&D work and the prototype parts? Have you ever heard the term you have to spend money to make money? Thats all on Wiestec, the customer is simply paying for the product, R&D work plus prototype parts did not come on my DP invoice.

It appears that you do not understand business, of course the customer pays for it. They don't just spend the money to research something and them sell it at a price point as if no costs had already been incurred. The very first objective is to recover the research and prototype costs from the customer then bank some profit. Years down the track the price may drop as it's all profit then.
