Fan only works on setting 5
Bought the wife a beautiful little a150 on an 05 plate,
Having a bit of trouble with the blower which only seem to
Run on 5 can anyone help with this??

Blower Motor
The blower motor speed resistor has gone. It sits behind dashboard almost next to clutch pedal (right hand drive model.) Its easy to replace but the part is only available from your local MB dealer.

W169 blower details
Hi I have the same issue, please can anyone tell me the part number of the blower for W169 (2005) A180 CDI, a picture would be great.
Ps. Where can i get one from, and rough how much should i expect to pay for one.

A180 Diesel 56 plate
Fan Resistor
Hi,
As mentioned above the fan resistor has gone. Pull back the driver's floor carpet (right hand side of car) by the centre column. Look up and you should see the resistor mounting. Literally pull out, unclip, replace and push bag in. Takes 10 mins and the part will cost about £20. I have just changing ours - easy. Not sure of exact part number but ask merc to search for the fan resistor for your car reg.
