Hi guys,

I would like to ask here before I go to my dealer. Does the paintwork have any warranty?

I have had my A200 in almost 5 months and i discovered yesterday something really bad looking...






I have really been careful with the car and always washed it and polished 1 time... But this is like the paintwork has been removed, i dont know if its because of me (high pressure wash? or the polishing?) but should this really be happening for a new Mercedes? I am disappointed that this even can happen

Can i claim this on the paintwork warranty (if any) or something else? I have 2 years general warranty on the car.

Any advices appreciated! I know the folks at Mercedes dealership only wants to sell and but dont really like people that wants to use their warranty, so i need to go there strong..

Okay so just went to the dealer. The one who stood for the decision of the warranty wasn't there but another paint guy was. He have never seen anything like it and thinks its after the polishing that it got too hot and have melted/removed the paint that way so he was sure that the warranty cannot be used to repaint the part.

Seriously?

Does anyone know at what tempeture a car paintwork will melt? -_-
