You may want to reconsider the price. That is what a CPO will go for and they come with extended warranties.

Why should I reconsider the price? Who are you, an appraiser? Are you making me an offer? Are you a buyer?
NO? Your not?
Then why should I listen to you? Kelly Blue Book is well over $72,000

I will listen if a serious buyer makes a serious offer, but otherwise its all blah blah. Sorry, but true.

PS
Show me the "CPO" same year, color, with same or lower miles, minimum or more options in California that is asking $68,500 or less...
I will wait...but please can you do it soon. I would appreciate the "back up" to your comment.
I might adjust price if i can see this "CPO" with extended warranty. I will even go look at it. Deal?

KBB for 2005 E55 w/12,000 miles equipped similarly, but with distronic and for Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area

Dealer Retail $84,605
Individual Sale $75, 470
Trade In $66,750

I would think the California prices would be higher. $72K doesn't sound too high to me.

Personally I think you may be a bit on the low side not the High Side. BTW is there tax in CA on a private party resale? There isn't here in AZ but there is if you buy it used from a dealer. 8% of 70K is $5600.00 savings at least in here in AZ. Just my 2 cents.

low side compared to book value but not the current market. right now these (actually all high end used vehicles) are fighting to get trade-in value at private sales. obviously there are exceptions.

my complaint is that this isn't in the classified section.

Call Hoehn MErcedes Benz in Carlsbad. We can use my '05 E55 as an example. Hmmm, lets see Black (040) on charcoal...just like yours. It had 9999miles on it LESS than yours...sticker was identical @ $86600. It was CPOd, WHICH YOURS IS NOT! I can get all the paperworks of my trade in and the purchase. So, yes Deal.

Look dude, I don't give a crap what you sell it for. i'm noyt a buyer of used cars. I was simply telling you the truth on the market in SoCal, which i do have quite a handle on. I am persian afterall, so half of my cousins work at some dealership or another. You really want to ask me for facts? Let's go.

Now, that I gave you your answers, how many offers have you had? NONE!! Talk is cheap and your used POS is even cheaper.

And since you'd like an offer before you realize that I am serious...I would be happy to pay you $6,680 for it IF all you say is true.

Hey Jangey,
You are such an idiot!
Got an offer last night for 67,500 on telephone from a ealer (probably your uncle). But since you know so much I better tell him thats too much..
YOU are a real BOZO! Again, SHOW ME THAT CALIF CAR AT THE DEALER BEING OFFERED TO THE PUBLIC CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED FOR LESS? That means at a MERCEDES dealership! Thats where you find CPO!!!!!!!
Can't do it can you???
We are all waiting for the link you will post here to back up your BULL****.
Typical "Persian" car dealers...always low balling to buy and asking way way too much here on there independent little car lots. I AM NOT selling my car to some Persian dealer as you insinuated. I am selling to open public, so NO DEAL!

I want $68,500. I will get it by Friday for sure...Just put it in paper here.
Only ffered here to any one looking for a deal. NOT for you OK?

Have clear title so it can be bouight in AZ or any other state without tax
My car has a clear bra on ront which cost 500$ and keeps chips off that YOURS has with 9,999 miles, so mne is for sure much, much cleaner.
Listen, why dont you just forget about me. I am only interetsed in anyone looking for a new BEAST...

Butchen,

nice ride. hope you get the price. i think the price is fair. i paid 65K for my 04 in December with 16k on the clock with extended warranty. The prices in CA always stay a bit stronger than the rest of the country since we pay a premium for everything here from gas prices to housing. Its the best living in the country in my opinion.

Good luck and bump to your sale.
Hold out for the price you want. There is a buyer for everything.

I agree, very nice car..quick question though, I live in oregon and used car dealers go to ca to buy because the values are lower due to the number of cars available. Now I see this post saying the opposite. Wierd..

Hey everyone, check it out, this IDIOT Persian calls my AMG a "POS" which I am sure refers to "piece of ****.." I can bet you all anything this ass does not even own a C230.
Lets get the general opinion here:

Who thinks an 2005 E55 AMG is a "piece of ****"??

LOL..(only those who cannot afford to ever own one, right?)
Who would ever call this car a piece of ****..LOL!!

PS..Checked the dealer you mentioned ...hmm, FRESH OUT of any E55's PERIOD!!
look yourself:

http://www.hoehn.mercedescenter.com/...preowned.jhtml

After the comment about E55 being a piece of **** I think the general vote here would be to eject your ass outa here!!!

He drew first blood OK? He is claimng to be Persian and therefore knows all about car sales, not me.

I am just offering a very nice car at good price (mostly agreed to here) so he attacks me right off the bat? So where is his 06 E5? He claims they are a piece of **** yes? I do not see it anywhere, do you?

blah blah blah...
I am done here. I am just interested in any buyers. I have already ordered new car. So my loss is buyers gain. I paid over $89,000 cash a year ago....

So be it
See ya all later. I need to go wash the "POS" lol

my buddy is a wholesaler and he said prices on the E55 are still staying strong at the auction and was not seeing alot of mark up at some of the local dealershps.
for me i bought my car out of state at a MB Dealer for $10K less than the delaer was asking here in San Jose. The car here was the same year but had alot less options and 24K miles and they were asking $74,500 back in December. My car has everything except ventilated seats, phone, and sat radio. needless to say i am very happy with my purchase.

Sounds like you did well. Maybe it's just because the cars are so hot that they hold well. Maybe it's the run of the mill stuff so to speak that wholesales so much cheaper. Theres an oregon dealer who has trucks comming up from CA all the time loaded with nice imports, I cannot say I've ever seen him advertise an AMG though. He advertsies them for just over wholesale book, and he's got to be making money. The cars always look legit too, not just a bunch of builders. maybe thats where the difference lies. C240, dime-o-dozen vs. an AMG for wich people will pay a premium. I can only imagine how googly eyed stupid I'd get if I test drove one of those..I'd probably pay whatever I qualified for regardless of sence. Supply and demand I guess.

Looks like a good price to me

I drove a 05 Desert Silver at the MB dealer in Indianapolis Wed with much the same items but it had 22k miles with CPO. $67000 was their price. 68500 looks good to me.
