I am helping a good friend of mine sell this car because it has been sitting around and she needs to get rid of it. It ss a brand new and unregistered 2005 S600 AMG sedan with less than 50 mile on it

Sounds like a beautiful car. However, these are very, very soft. You'll (she'll) be lucky to get much over $90k for the car. I hope that I'm wrong and I wish you luck with the sale.

Yeah i agree with G55k...its an old body style + 2 year old "new" car...I've seen an 05 S600 with 20k miles go for 53k at a dealer auction.....that being said....if she really wants to get it off her lot...70-80k is the price that is appropriate and will almost result in a sale

Thats 5-10k more than a new unregistered 2006 S65 goes for these days. Its not worth much over 75k if even that.

Sad but true... thats the way MB's work!!

Dealers are begging to get $120k's for a no mileage ,brand new S65s.

........as their friend, you may wish to give them accurate info regarding the value of these cars. Anyone that buys a W220 S65 for $150K deserves to be shot. Their are several for $98K. You are not helping them much by posting these prices.

An S65 for 150 K ?

Are they even remotely in touch with what these cars are worth ? They wil have these sitting on the lot for years at those prices.

I was at MB of South Orlando over the weekend. They had a new 2006 SL65 marked up $25K over sticker. Every AMG car was marked up.

A salesman told me that their CLS63 was $10K over, but most dealers in the area were getting $25K over. I told him that I knew otherwise, and he asked if I would pay MSRP.

I don't think that I would buy a car there ever.

There are brand new 2006 S65's for sale for $98,000???? Where can I find them? How can dealers take that much of a loss these cars had stickers of $170,000.
