The sunroof on my CLK 320 quits today and I cannot open it.

1)

- if I press 'open', it just lowers a bit (approximately 1/8") and stops

- then I press 'close', it closes and then tilt

- then I try to lower it, it doesn't work; I have to press open to lower it

2)

- pressing 'tilt' alone is fine and lowering it is okay for the first few times, then I have to press 'open' to lower it


any ideas?

I will bring it back to the dealer for brake fluid change and also fix the
squealing windows and I will also mention the problem of the sunroof.

The warranty of my car will expire next Wednesday, and I hope they will fix it before it expires!

I think you have a syncing issue.

I follow the menu and try to resync it, and it still doesn't work properly. Maybe I have a bad switch or control module....

Just happened to me exactly the same. It's a synch issue.

I got my car back from the dealer and they resync the sunroof and now it is working fine.

Will this happen again? coz the warranty will expire next Tuesday, does anyone know how much the dealer will charge? Also, how come it didn't work when I followed the menu to resync it? Do you need a computer to do the reprogramming?

try it again tomorrow and see if it works. mine stops sometimes but then it's fine the next day.

Well, I will probably never use it again..... don't want to pay to fix it when the warranty expires..... if I don't use it, I guess it won't open by itself, right?

sell the car before the warranty runs out. get another car. Clk is a money sink after warranty is out.

I brought mine in with a few issues. The guy who writes up the problems before it goes to the techs did it right in front of me and charged me nothing.
