Fuel Indicator Problem.

I know that someone had just brought up this thread but I really need your help here. My fuel indicator showed "empty" the moment I finished fueling gas. So, I drove for a few miles then it went up to full. I thought that it was fine then. But, when I got home, I tried to restart the car, it stayed at empty again. Can somebody come up with a good explanation of what the problem is? Thank you very much.

Bad fuel sender unit. Known issue with several recent models. I've had the sender replaced in all three of mine (MY00 CLK430, MY01 CLK55, and MY01 E320S).

good luck....

Go to the dealer they'll take care of that problem for you. Happened to me twice.

Had the same happen to me too.

Just remember not to top up your gas, once it stops, so should you. That's what my service guy said.
